If you're looking for someone to clean your pool tile then look no further. Ernest from Dutch Guy Pool Service did an outstanding job cleaning my pool tile and he was prompt and reliable as promised. This is a family owned business and Ernest and his daughter treated the pool and my yard as if it was their own. They cleaned my yard when they were finished and left the pool tile looking brand new as if it had just been installed. A+

Absolutely Great customer service! Not only does Ernest know his stuff, but he knows how to treats his clients. After spending 10 or so hours trying to get my pool to be swimmable, I gave up and called Ernest. He worked with my busy schedule to come out to my house and help me out. It took minutes for him to diagnose the numerous problems of why my pool was misbehaving. He then explained it all to me in a way that I could understand it. It simply does not get any better than him! I highly recommend!

Our pool and spa are over 10 years old. The tile and grout were really caked with chlorine/calcium buildup. We called Dutch Guy, who came out and explained the type of procedure we needed and what to expect. He did a beautiful job and left our pool and spa immaculate. When our pool and spa heater broke, he was the only person we called. He's honest, reliable, courteous, and I highly recommend him for all of your pool care needs.

I seen all these reviews for an honest pool company, (they are hard to find)... This one is the real deal.... Ernest came over within an hr of me calling him... The pump seemed seized up..... Gave me a good idea of what we were looking at.....The guy finds a breaker of something, and makes sure everything works, and wont even take money for his gas or anything, says he was in the neighborhood.... To me, he was sent from above, God knows this was gonna set me back.... This guy will be around along time with customer satisfaction like that... Your pool guy is Ernest at........ Dutch Guy Pool Service... .......................................... 6/12/2013............... People are quick to judge toward the bad side. Ernest, for no reason other than being a stand up compassionate business owner, has helped me with pool issues in the past. I wont go into my situation, but I will say, if or when I am able to have a pool in the future, he is 'the Man' for pools. I too was trying to get the master of pools last week, I believe he had a personal family issue across country. He showed up for his scheduled appt today, on time, fixed an on going problem in less than 3 minutes. I've been doing biz in the Modesto area, with many types of businesses for over 25 years. You would be hard pressed to find a better, more honest and fair guy than this small business owner. (Yes, he built his business) Thanks again Ernest !! My grandson will be elated to know, that he can swim for the next couple months. oh ya and for the 'like a used car salesman' remark... probably the same type of guy that ALWAYS thinks he got screwed...People are trying to use the internet to buy cars to, problem is people sell cars, people run businesses.......... a mooch is a mooch is a mooch, that will never change.....Thanks again Ernest, I think the overall masses show, you are 'The Man' for pools !!!

We recently purchased a home that had a pool with a ton of tile in really bad shape. I spent 30 minutes burning though two $6 pumice stones and was able to clean the scale build up off like 4 tiles. There was no way this job was going to be done by hand. So I did a lot of research on the pros and cons of soda blasting vs. bead blasting on pool tiles. My choice was soda blasting and based on the reviews here I went with Ernest and Dutch Guy Pool Service. He answered all my questions and showed up on time for all scheduled appointments.



The bottom line is Ernest is a Tile Cleaning ROCKSTAR! But don’t take my word for it, just look at the pictures that I added. The tiles look 100% brand new… the original glaze has not been dulled at all (an issue with poor bead blasting or a rushed job). We had an epic tile cleaning job and Ernest came through for us!

Does fine on the pool on a full service customer but overcharges on parts. Buyer be aware! He is like a used car salesman and is proud of himself and his service. States that his customers like to pay 40-50% over internet prices. Could have bought two pool sweeps for what he charges. TRUST NOT!

I scheduled a warranty service for my Zodiac heather. Ernest Streggink failed to show or call when he missed his appointment date. I contacted him and he did not even say he was sorry. When he came out he knew nothing about my heater nor did he fix it. He felt his service call would not be covered by the warranty and might have to send me a bill. I called Zodiac and they said the service was covered and not to pay Dutch Guy Pool service if he billed me. They sent out another company who found and fixed the problem in about 8 minutes. A week later Dutch Guy Pool Service sent me a bill for $100.00 for work not covered by Zodiac warranty. I contacted Zodiac and they said they had paid Dutch Guy Pool Service in full for his service call even though he had not done any work. They said Dutch Guy was trying to double bill for the same work whic was fraud.

After being abandoned by our pool builder and realizing things were not done right, we turned to the vendors of the equipment for help. The aqua pure people recommended Ernest and two other local pool businesses to contact. Ernest came right away and reviewed the issues with us. He could finish our sentences as he looked at the system. One of the other people wanted to bypass our salt system altogether and the third person did not even return our call. We knew Ernest was the best choice for us. He cleaned and sealed our tile and stone wall, installed a new salt cell, pump and gauge and tuned up our entire system. He even directed us to good people to help with the issues he could not. He is great businessman and communicates well. He has made owning a pool enjoyable as it should be. We would highly recommend him.

What else can I say, the owner came out on Tuesday, had an estimate sent to our email by Thursday and completed the work on Saturday. He didn't push us to buy anything and even did some minor repairs without charge. He is fair and polite. 5 stars from us.

We had a clog in our pipe leading from the pool to the filter. Ernest worked hard to unclog the pipe. I have called him out twice. Once for the clog and the other time to fix the filter. He goes above and beyond. He really is wonderful.

Positively the best! Ernest and his daughter were here yesterday to soda blast our pool. Ernest and his daughter did an outstanding job! I don't think I'ver seen someone work quite as hard. He spent 4 1/2 hours working on our pool. The last company that did blasting was in and out in about 2 hours. Ernest goes the extra "miles" not mile when doing his job. You will definetely have a repeat customer with us Ernest. You will be on the top of our recommend list always!

Ernest soda blasted our pool and did a fantastic job and at a very resonable price and any time after he serviced my pool if i called him with a question he would always answer or respond ver promplty to my calls. In the future i would definetly call Ernest again do service my pool. Thank you again Ernest for everything.

Ernest started at 6:00 am and quit at 8:00 pm and came back the next day to finish. He has all the right equipment and has the knowledge and experience to use it. My tile,. coping and bricks were a horrible mess hadn't been cleaned forever and now they look brand new. I would highly recommend this guy. Nice to see a person do what they represent!

We hired Ernest to soda blast our pool tile. He was here the better part of a day and did an incredible job on the tile. Frankly, it hasn't looked that good since our pool was built.

Ernest has a tremendous work ethic with attention to detail and a desire to satisfy his customers. We felt his rates were reasonable given the length of the job as we had a lot of tile. Additionally, he was was very helpful with other aspects of our pool that even our pool guy has not mentioned; things that improve the efficiency and appearance of our pool. Plus, he is a very friendly and kind gentleman! I would highly recommend his work. You will not be disappointed.

I hired Ernest to soda blast and seal my slate tile and natural rock waterfall. He did an awesome job at a very competitive rate. I will use him for all repairs in the future.

This is the first review I've ever writen for good reason. Ernest (The Dutch Gut) is a breath of fresh air. Ernest looked at my promlem within 24 hr. of my call and spent 30 min. answering all my questions, and there were a lot. This is my first pool and Ernest walked me through my system and explained how it functions all with no comitment. I will not hesitate to call him again, I've found my pool guy!

Ok I usually don't write reviews, but I felt that it's a must for Ernest from Dutch Guy Pool Service. If your like me and search and get quotes for weeks or even months at a time and if your looking for someone who's not rude and takes their time with you then Ernest is the one.

We moved into a home that had a green pool and very thick calcium build up line on our tile. Ernest assured me that he could remove it and make the pool look great. HE WAS RIGHT!! He even went above and beyond. He also installed our new Pentair Intelliflo and Intellichlor system and DE filter with Easytouch control system. (This is the latest and greatest equipment from Pentair!)

Now you probably notice that he is a little pricier than most, but if you want to know what TRUE SERVICE is like, then look no further! I didn't realize it still existed. He answers any questions or concern with assurance and calmness letting you know that your in good hands. If he can't fix it or answer your questions right then, give him time and he will. STOP LOOKING AND CALL ERNEST!



To Ernest: Thank you for everything you've done for our family! The pool looks great and everything is working fine. Thank you for going above and beyond your duties!! Your worth every penny. We look forward with working with you in the future. I know for sure now who to call!!
