Dr. Charlie Nelson is recognized as a seasoned, direct, warm, ethical, eclectic, "practical" therapist with 32+ years of experience in the field. He's licensed both as a Psychologist and a Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals, couple's, and families. Along with a broad general practice, he also specializes in: relationship issues (e.g. premarital, communication, parenting, affairs, infidelity, divorce); substance abuse and other addictions (e.g. alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, crystal methamphetemine, codependence, ACOA, enabling, gambling, sexual compulsion); trauma recovery (crime victims, post traumatic stress, death, dying, loss, grief); and men?s issues. Charlie believes that most people achieve their treatment goals more effectively and efficiently when they meet with a warm, caring, honest, open, intelligent approach blended with a timely sense of humor and wisdom... not dry, confusing, contrived "Psychobabble" or &q uot;pop psychology" band aids.
