John Mimm, the founder of Crooked Claw Firearms Training, LLC has many years of experience in defensive firearms training. John is a Certified NRA Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructor, and Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Instructor. John is a competitive shooter and competes in USPSA and IDPA events. He is a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment. He believes in people’s right to defend themselves and their loved ones and wanted to provide them the ability to do so. John founded Crooked Claw Firearms Training to provide a safe and relaxed environment to help gun owners become confident, secure, and skilled with their firearms, as well as navigate the various state and federal gun laws. Whether you are an experienced gun enthusiast looking to become more proficient with firearms or a novice who has never fired a gun before, Crooked Claw Firearms Training is determined to help you achieve your goals. CCFT currently services the Baltimore/Washington area and offers classroom training in Eldersburg, MD and shooting range in Owings Mills, MD. Our mission is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills in safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals, and defensive training.
