General Info

I teach private piano lessons in my studio to all students K-12 and adults. I have a bachelors degree in piano performance with an emphasis in pedagogy and have taught for many years. I am a member of MTNA, MMTA, and SSMTA. My passion is to instill in all students of varying musical abilities a love and appreciation for piano music, and to do so by adapting to the learning style and pace of each student. As a piano instructor I am able to bring excitement to the learning process by building on individual musical passions, and gradually transforming weaknesses into strengths. I provide thorough training in the rudiments of piano study which includes theory, technique, keyboard harmony, and ear training. I also provide a broad musical experience by teaching a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, worship and popular music. I strive to cultivate in each student a sense of passion, musicianship, and personal accomplishment.
