I called B-Dry because I had a problem with water coming in to my basement. I knew that the water was coming in from above grade & I expressly told the receptionist this on the phone as well as the estimator who came out to look at the problem. The estimator used a moisture gauge on the walls & seemed to be more knowledgeable than the other people I had take a look at the problem, so we chose B-Dry.

The initial work was done in one day & the workers were polite & took care not to make a mess inside the house.

However, the next time that it rained, I had exactly the same problem as I did before. Water was coming in at the same spot as before the work.

They sent out the same workers who did more work to the basement. The next time it rained, I still had water coming in from the basement from the same spot as before.

I called B-Dry again & this time they sent out a supervisor. He came out & inspected the work & put a hose on the ground in the problem corner of the house & let it run for about 15 minutes. No water problem. I told him that we weren't having (and never did have) a problem with water coming in below ground, it was all above ground. He told me that they do not handle water problems that occur above grade. REALLY???!!!! I told him that I told everyone I talked to & saw that I knew the problem was coming from above grade. I basically got an "oh well" & that was it. To his credit, he did find the point where the water was coming in. It was coming from an air vent & just needed to be sealed. It turned out to be a $10 fix. Too bad it took $3200 to figure that out.
