We rode our motorcycles into steamboat for the night and wanted to check out the strawberry hot springs. We couldn't ride our bikes up there so we began looking for a rental car. At 5:15pm all the major car rental places were closed. American car rental is amazing !!! We got a really good deal for the basic transportation we needed. When all you care about is getting from point a to b these guys are your best bet !

Called in to get rates on car rentals and was rudely talked to as if the person didn't have the time to give rates and they only had two vehicles, one a van and the other a suburban. He actually hung up when I was inquiring on the vehicles soundness (based on other reviews). I called back and another person answered and said that it was the owner. Hmmm, not renting there, nor would I take my car there to be worked on.

I had to rent b/c my car was "being fixed" by their shop- BIG MISTAKE. It took me 3 times to find a car that ran without something wrong- each time the person got nastier like I was being difficult ( 1st time seat belt issue, and 2nd time the gas gauge was off) or that I was being "overly cautious". The car was bad and when I got my car back I got stuck with a bill that was TOO HIGH.
