- Divorce
- Child SupportIn California, failure to pay child support can be a felony if the parent owes more than $2,500 in back payments and has been more than 90 days late in making payments. The parent may also be charged with a felony if they have been convicted of a previous felony related to child support.
- Child Custody and VisitationMichael has exclusively practiced family law since 2010. He has experience handling all aspects of family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, division of property, valuation and characterization of property, spousal and child support, child custody, and post-judgment modification and enforcement matters.
- Premarital AgreementMarriage is a contract, and most people do not know its terms. Absent a premarital agreement, upon marriage, spouses are bound to a certain set of terms and conditions governing property and support rights imposed by California law. Rather than simply accept the one-size-fits-all approach of the California Family Code, you and your spouse-to-be can define your property and support rights by an agreement that suits your needs.
- Spousal SupportDetermination of what, if any, portion of a grant, exercise, or sale is appropriately treated as income available for either child or spousal support.
- Legal SeparationProperty division, support (child and spousal), custody, and access to funds for legal representation: These are the basic core family law competencies involved in nearly every divorce or legal separation. Determining and advocating for the legally and factually appropriate resolution of these issues is what we do.
