The Martinsville Independent School District includes elementary, junior high and high schools. The district s schools offer classes in English, agriculture, math, science and social studies to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its schools curriculum also includes music, art and physical education. The Martinsville Independent School District supports several sports activities, such as cross country, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, and track and field. The district s schools operate various organizations, including the National Honor Society, student council, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Future Farmers of America (FFA). Its schools libraries house a collection of textbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, newspapers, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books.
