Mystic Arts Center, is part of the Connecticut art scene for 100 years, where you can find culture, tradition, and the charm of small town New England converge. it was founded in 1913 by a group of prominent artists rooted in the philosophy of the 19th century French landscape painters, Mystic Arts Center today serves as an arts and culture center for southeastern Connecticut. Mystic Arts Center evolved into an educational non-profit, non-stock corporation, known for fostering an appreciation of mystic's early artists and their works under the leadership of nationally recognized landscape painter, American Tonalist and impressionist charles Harold Davis. From the South & West: Take Route 95 North to Exit 89. Right onto Allyn Street. Straight through stop sign to traffic light. Turn left at traffic light. Bear left around curve and down hill. Turn right onto Water Street. Mystic Arts Center is approximately one block down on the left. Turn into driveway, pull ticket at gate, then park in right or left lot. Large white building with red awning set back on the river, directly across from Factory Square.
