Back surgery

At Dr. Brown's request I walked over for an MRI of my neck. An hour later the MRI was complete with a copy in hand for my doctor to review. My experience was nothing short of excellent. Impressed! Thank you for your services...

Violation of patient privacy!

I had an MRI at your facility approximately 2 weeks ago at the request of a specialist I am currently seeing. I called your facility yesterday(Thursday, March 21st)at 4:30pm and asked the woman who answered the call (Debbie)if it would be possible for me to request a copy of my report. She advised me that she could fax a copy of my report to a Dr if I gave her the fax number. I replied that I did not need a copy faxed rather I would like to pick up a copy for myself. The woman again stated that she would fax a copy to a Dr for me,I again stated that I prefer to pick up a copy and that I would like to stop by and pick up a copy whenever it was convenient I said I could be there in 15 minutes or make it another day. She again said it would be best to give her a fax number. I informed her that I was driving home and did not have a fax number. I actually had to request 4 imes to pick up my report rather than have her fax it to a Dr. After my fourth request, I asked her if she had an issue with me getting a copy of my own medical report and she ended our conversation by stating that it would be there andng up the phone. I arrived at the facility approx 15 minutes later. In a few seconds a man came up to the front desk I recognized him as the technician who conducted my MRI(Terry) He said hello to me when he approached the front desk,A moment later a young woman walked up the front desk and abruptly said to me "And you are? I began to say my name and tell her that I had just called about picking up a report, but before I could get my last name out, she tossed an envelope at me as if she was tossing me a frizbie and turned and walked into another room. The technician then turned and walked away as well and as I was exiting the building I could hear the two if them laughing .I woudl like to knwo why I was NOT required to show proof of ID or sign for my report! I found her behavior to be very unprofessional and rude. I am entitled to a copy of my medical report. I was not demanding anything from her, I was not insisiting on picking up the report immediately…I knew that the office was closing in an hour or so and was more than willing to pick up the report at whatever day and time was convenient for the office. Had this woman advised me that they were busy or getting ready to close, but that I could pick up a copy of my report at another time I would have been perfectly fine with her response. I was so impressed by the treatment and care I received the day of my MRI, only to be so disappointed in the treatment I received on the phone and in the office yesterday and extremely concerned that this woman had no idea who I was (I had never seen her prior to this incident)yet "tossed" my personal and private medical exam report to me without verifying my identity and requiring a signature. I hope to not require any such services in the future, but if I do I will not be coming to NW Imaging. I will also relay this information to the Dr. who recommended your facility for my MRI. I contacted the Operations Manager of NWI in regards to this incident and was advised that he spoke with both employees and discovered that the woman behind the desk (Debbie) recently has some personal issues and that the technician (Terry) was trying to cheer her up...this is the excuse for the giggling as I exited the facility. I was also told that although it is their protocol to require proof of id and a signature prior to obtaining medical reports, if the employees recognize you they may not always require proof of id. He really did not address the fact that I was not even required to sign for my report (becasue she tossed the report at me and walked into another room) but said that this would not happen again in the future, should I require their services again...which I will not! Great Expreience

I could not say enought good stuff about the tech that did the test. I am claustrophobic and he held my wrist when he could in order to help get me through the test. His compassion was admorable. Thanks to him I made it through.
