How damage gets undone.

General Info
Wet basement? Toilet overflow? Leaky appliance lines? Burst pipes? Sewer backup? Damage Doctors can help. We provide emergency services 24/7 for residential and business water damage so that you can get your home, office, family and business life back to normal as soon as possible. Our team of certified professionals serves business and residential customers throughout most of central and east-central Indiana. A water emergency can result in an interruption to your family’s normal routine until the damage is remediated. A long delay in mitigation can lead to secondary damages to your home, including possible structural issues, and the onset of potentially hazardous microbial growth and the potential to become a breeding ground for various types of mold and fungi. Damage Doctors is licensed and IICRC-certified to deal with water and mold damage. The Site Survey & Free Estimate Since all water damage restoration projects are different, the inspection of your property is an important first step in getting your restoration underway. We will complete a site survey using the most accurate industry tools available, determine the extent of the damage and provide a scope of the necessary steps needed for restoration, including the estimated cost and time required to do so We offer a unique “turnkey” service. This means once the source of the water has been stopped and the area is dry, we can provide any put-back services because our goal is to get you back to normal with the least amount of stress to you and your family. Water Damage Categories Water damage categories refer to the range of contamination found in water: White Water (also known as Clean Water). White water damage does not pose a substantial health concern. The most common instances of white water damage are caused by overflowing sinks, leaking appliances, or burst pipes. This is also the easiest category of water damage to fix. Grey Water. Grey water comes from a source that may cause sickness when exposed to or consumed. This may be water from a toilet bowl, or other sources that have been exposed to relatively mild chemicals or toxins. Grey water should be treated with caution, and needs to be handled quickly and safely by a professional. Black Water. The third and most serious type of water source is black water. While not necessarily black in color, black water is completely unsanitary. Generally water from any type of flooding, be it river/rain water or seawater, is classified as black water and contains harmful bacteria. It may be difficult to tell by looking at it whether water damage is the result of clean, grey, or black water. For that reason you should always contact a qualified water damage repair contractor to assess the situation. We Speak Insurance Often, it is helpful to have the eyes of an experienced contractor available when creating a scope of work for water damage restoration. As a normal part of our water restoration process, Damage Doctors will perform an on-site walk-through with your insurance adjuster to identify and discuss all of the water-affected areas. Throughout the entire claims-handling and restoration process, we provide photo documentation to and communicate with your insurance adjuster and agent to maintain transparency and eliminate delays to completion.
