      Wells has been cleaning our family wool rugs for decades. I buy beautiful wool rugs at estate sales and have them cleaned by Wells. They do a superb job! I get a valuable, clean rug cheap and the environment benefits too! I also sell preowned rugs after Wells cleans them they are like new! I would not go anywhere but Wells to have my rugs cleaned.       Big name but service akin to Walmart. I wont use this company again. I bought a handmade rug in Turkey of wool and cotton which I brought to Wells for a cleaning. The rug I got back was several inches shorter on both ends, probably 5 inches shorter on each ends due to shrinkage/warping from their cleaning. I am guessing they did not look to see that the rug had cotton in it, though it was clearly visible on the reverse of the rug in stark white against the reds of the wool. In addition to shrinking, the rug (which originally laid flat) was warped and rippled all over so now the rug does not lay flat at all. Wells essentially wrecked it. Brought the rug back to the store and while going over the problem it was clear that the manager did not know the rug had cotton in it and told me that they cannot make any amends since the sales invoice that customers sign waives any claims in cases of cleaning. They recommended someone who could fix the warping at my expense ($150+). J Lanza, Mendham
