      Established in 1739, the Morris County Sheriff s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that maintains a legal services division. The division handles paperwork in connection with the processing and service of summons and complaints, notices of motion, orders to show cause, subpoenas, civil warrants, and writs of possession, replevin and execution. The Morris County Sheriff s Office offers services to a population of more than 490,000 citizens spread over 475 square miles. The sheriff s office is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), Commission on Accreditation for the American Correctional Association (ACA) and National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC). The Morris County Sheriff s Office-Legal Services Division is located in Morristown, N.J.
