I dealt with David and he was extremely knowledgeable and very cooperative, I installed my first wood stove with the knowledge I aquired from talking to him.. and its working flawlessly. Pipe was expensive but most "good" double walled pipe is. Very easy to deal with, returned pieces I didnt need no questions asked.

Called them before the holidays began to service my fireplace. They reported that I needed a part replaced and that they will call me when it is in. Well it is still not in over 5 weeks later and each time I call Mark says he will call back and I never receive a return call. I am very disappointed and I will never use them again. Beware!

Beware! The reviews on this shop are accurate--very poor service, incompetent staff & the biggest run-around in town. They'll charge $95 to come out & pretend to evaluate your situation. The serviceman who saw me said my unit was attached to propane...well not correct and a very basic thing. Plus they are rude and do not answer the phone or call back if you are able to leave a message.

Ordered parts 4 weeks ago and still nothing. They wont return phone calls and staff is very rude.. I sure won't use them again or refer them out. Just hope it doesn't take this long to get my money back.. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Don't buy anything from this place. Their service after the sale is pathetic! I can't get anyone (Don) to call me back to get our pellet stove serviced. When I called today (5th day in a row) and still couldn't talk to Don and was asked to again leave a message, I told the lady that answered the phone that I thought their service after the sale was horrible, and she said, and I quote: "I agree with you 100%". That tells you something when the employees know their service stinks! I'm sorry to everyone that I've referred The Hearth Shop to. They haven't always been this way.

We purchased a Whitfield Pelle...

We purchased a Whitfield Pellet Stove from this store and at first things were great them all of a sudden it seemed we were being just ignored. Made attempts to get service call on stove on two different occasions. We will try again since the auger quit working. Hopefully we will get a call back but as of now we have a very hard time giving a good recommendation to this business.

The Hearth Shop has been a HUG...

The Hearth Shop has been a HUGE disappointment - they sure can't help you enough to take your money, but when it comes time to install your fireplace, they send guys with no tools and dead batteries for the ones they do bring. They are HORRIBLE at returning calls. Forrest sold us 3 fireplaces for our home but he won't return any calls. Our neighbor has been waiting months to get their blower fixed on their new fireplace. I recommend that you go elsewhere unless you want to be treated like this. It seems to be a pattern with this company. Had I known this, I would not have spent a penny with them.
