A small group of friends and I...

A small group of friends and I attended an event at the renaissance hotel. We asked for recommendations at the courtesy desk on where to eat? We were steered away from Whintzels, and the BBQ Dive around the corner and told to hit Sa Za Serious Italian. MISTAKE! The place looked awesome, but the food was deplorable! The Garlic Styxx...smh were nasty, too much garlic, cut un evenly over salt, blah.. The 7 Grain Salmon was over cooked, and the potatoes were too dark and greasy.. The chopped lobster and angle, was flooded with olive oil, frozen spinach and mushy pasta... We all taste the bolognese and thought it was the highlight, but it was overshadowed by a bad meal. The place looked nice, and had energy, but the food was far from superior. Live and you learn.

Absolutely discussed! and emba...

Absolutely disgusted! and embarrassed for City of Montgomery and Sa Za. People used to have nothing but good things to say about this place (me included). That time has come and gone. I went in for dinner Friday, with my daughter, and that will be the last time. The 7 Grain Salmon was over cooked, and the butter sauce was horrible. No velvety mouth feel.. just bad. i didnt even finish it. My daughters spaghetti and meatballs was fine, but how hard is that to make? I people watched HARD! looking for mgmt as well. From what I saw, there is some boozing going on by the staff. This is a serious matter. I know can tell when people have had a few drinks. Way too much laughing and carrying on by the staff here. Open kitchen huh, needs to be closed. The equipment is FILTHY.. Black! not being properly detailed at the end of the service. NO GLOVES worn by the cooks and is there even a chef here? You can even see light bulbs out in the kitchen. I ve seen enough and Im saddened by this and have eaten my last meal in that establishment. Montgomery cant hold on to anything good for a substantial amount of time. I ll start looking down the Alley for dinner at Central, I heard the food is updated and fresh.

Mistake eating here. Food inc...

Mistake eating here. Food inconsistent, service slow, alot of laughing and playing and joking around and less attention given to the actual paying patron. Chop Lobster laced with too much garlic.. Tasted very watered down, and capellini was not al dente. Is there a chef in the building? You can just see the Garlic Styxx as they are spelled (child like) leaving the kitchen are very badly cooked. Some pale, golden, brown, or burnt... Its really unfortunate what has happened here in a little over a yr. Where is the management team? No Gm? Maitre D? Executive Chef? Sa Za is just another bad Montgomery restaurant now..

I remember when Sa Za first ca...

I remember when Sa Za first came to town, with its loud mouth promoter. I sat right in Michael's Table and listened to this so called chef bad mouth every common restaurant in Montgomery. Dog Sh*t this and that. I warned people dont support that cause, and now look how the tables have turned. Sinner. These are gods people in the south and now that Restaurant is a laughing stock. Bland food, chalk dust pizza and just a thing of the past. Just like its chef who is nowhere to be found, with that outlandishly Red outdated corvette, so will this place. Heard they opened one in Georgia, I say good, get out of Montgomery!

This place has become a joke. ...

This place has become a joke. No more familiar faces, no more chefs critiquing the inconsistent food that leaves the kitchen. Back to old clover dale for us. Sa Za has lost everything it stood for in one yr. smh.

Your from Montgomery & you spell Old Cloverdale like that? Then you use the assistant MGR's name in your login. Nice try.....

One things for sure, Montgomer...

One things for sure, Montgomery cant keep a secret for nothing. The verdict is out on Sa Za. Food has become mediocre, the menu is same boring food from opening nite, everyone found out the World Renowned Chef is FAKE, with failed restaurants in Naples (Sa Za) NY and Toronto, he can barely show his face anymore. The Food Network Star got bored like everyone does and left without a word, (wouldve been nice to have him open a Restaurant here) and now Montgomery's best restaurant is filled with just sad, not happy workers and the food and service shows it. From the looks of things Im not the only one who is tired of pizza. The Downtown needs a new savior.

The food was delicious. The service (Justin) was great and beyond expectation. The atmosphere was superb and most appropriate. Highly recommend.
