Implant Dentistry Permanent replacement teeth that look and feel like real teeth are now a reality. Anyone from young adults to seniors with healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant is a candidate for this procedure to replace one or more missing teeth. Implants are root substitutes made of pure titanium implanted in the bone. This anchor will fuse into the jawbone, becoming a permanent fixture in the jaw upon which a tooth substitute can be fabricated. They can be used in combination with bridges, dentures, and crowns to replace any number of teeth. Dental implants are increasingly being recognized as the best, most conservative, and long-lasting method to replace natural teeth. Dr. David Ferguson has been successfully placing implants for many years in a variety of treatment plans.
