We are so very thankful we chose Neighborhood Nurses to provide the care for my dad. The doctors were grim in their prognosis. We were encouraged by the doctor to place him in a nursing facility, stating his care would put a burden on us, and besides he was out of it more than with it..That is not what dad would have wanted, we certainly did not want that for our dad. Mom has already gone before him years ago We called their office and was warmly greeted. The lady put our mind to ease. Dad was coming home and they would provide the care. We were staffed in only a matter of 15-20 mins. We loved our nurse so compassionate..dad was slipping away, she was off, we called her and she was there for us in minutes. She gave my dad a beautiful death. Thank you Neighborhood Nurses for a job well done.

When it came time for our parents to need more care than we as their children could give, we sought out the best company for the needs we thought would be appropriate for our parents. Putting them in a nursing home was not an option for us. We called on a weekend numerous companies, only one returned our call. the cheerful voice on the other end was compassionate and caring, understood how we felt and what was needed and managed to put our minds at ease. After a brief but thorough phone interview, she made some great recommendations we had not even thought of for options of care, hours to be worked and the kind of professionally trained staff we needed. We chose this agency based on their reputation, a decision we have never regretted, that was 6 years ago. Mom and Dad are happy, our aide is terrific, we can always reach the on call person 24/7 no matter how big or small our question or concern may be, the voice on the other end is eager to help.
