Provided by YP.comAlso agree on dishonest . My counters were not sealed correctly ( that I had confirmed by builder )which caused dark marks that won,'t come out . They sent a man over that agreed with me but went back to office and told them I spilt oil on my counter . They finally agreed to fix the spots but want me to sign a release that if they come out worst that I have to deal with that
3+ Years into my granite counter, it separated at the seam. I'm told that the warranty is up and that it isn't Metro Stone & Granite's responsibility. What kind of workmanship caused this granite to separate and ruin my counter in less than 4 years? And why won't they take care of fixing it? Stay away!!!!!! I gave them a good review 3 years ago but retract it n ow that there is a big problem that they won't rectify.

Provided by YP.comDishonest and deceitful business practices by this company.
When we selected the color for our granite counter tops, we chose from an advertised sample that contained creme, black, and caramel colors within the stone. When our granite arrived, we were shocked to find that our granite only contained creme and black colors. I think we found maybe 4 or 5 specks of caramel color the size of bread crumbs in all 5 of our counter tops.
So we contacted the company for resolution. Our first attempt in resolution resulted in Jorge coming out to our home, finding a left-over piece of our granite in the garage and making some half-a$$ed attempt at suggesting their granite was a perfect match to what they installed in our home. Let me repeat that, Jorge took a left-over piece of our own granite in the house and compared it to our own granite in the house! To this day, they still have refused to make a direct comparison of our granite to the advertised sample.
So after I called them out on their dishonest and deceitful attempt at suggesting a color match, Jenn Watson responded with the company line: granite is a natural stone and will vary from slab to slab. I completely understand that all granite will not be a perfect match; however, I don't think its unreasonable to expect the color advertised as Caramel Fantasy to have the color caramel within the stone. Especially when the advertised sample contained caramel throughout it.
So my caution to any future buyers would be to understand that you may not get what you expect from Metro Stone and Granite. And if it so happens that they don't provide to you the granite of your expectations, they will do NOTHING to try to fix it. In fact, they will even resort to lies and deceit to try and cover up their misrepresentations.
Finally, if any prospective buyers would like to see documentation and pictures of just how badly Metro Stone and Granite misrepresents their products, email me at j w foste @ clemson.edu (no spaces). I would be happy to show you their lies, deceit, and misrepresentations.

Use EXTREME caution when deciding to work with this company. They are under contract with one of the big home improvement stores, if you don't allow that store to be middle-man you will be given seriously outrageous quotes. To further your caution, Metro will be your best buddy while they are secretly screwing you. Because of their large affiliate, they have substantial customer volume. This in turn allows them to buy so much granite that they get lower prices than almost any fabricator is the state... So why do they cost more than the guy that actually pays more for your material and does nicer work? Is this an excuse to be EXTREMELY rude to suppliers? I've worked with these suppliers, and the fabricators who end up with the customers smart enough to go elsewhere. I even had the opportunity to speak with some of the customers who were mistreated. Good luck in your ventures.

Provided by YP.comI hired Metro Stone to install granite countertops in my kitchen. They keep changing the schedule. When they arrived they had two pieces, out of five, cut incorrectly. They did cut new pieces the same day and returned without letting me know they where coming - interupting a dinner party. They damaged my brand new handmade cabinets putting in one piece and have not repaired it. Further, they do not take my phone calls or respond to me emails about it. The countertops are attractive.
We are pleased to hear you found the countertops to be attractive however unhappy that you didn’t feel the installation process was up to par. Here at Metro Stone & Granite we strive to make sure every project run as smoothly as possible. Furthermore we wish to ensure the customer feels secure in their decision with choosing us. Please contact us directly with any questions or concerns. Our Apologies and thank you for your business.
