Founded in 1913, the Monroe County Road Commission is administered by the county of Monroe in Michigan. It provides a range of roadway services through various divisions. The Monroe County Road Commission s administrative service division is comprised of human resources, purchasing, finance and customer service departments. It offers technical services for planning, designing, improving, maintaining and operating the county roadway system. The commission provides district maintenance, drainage, mechanical and construction services. The Monroe County Road Commission additionally offers frontage tile installation, driveway paving ditch cleaning, and sanitary sewer taps and road improvement programs. It employs drivers, laborers and heavy-equipment operators.
