Founded in 1931, The Wellspring is a nonprofit organization that started as an affiliate of the YWCA. The organization s counseling and family development center offers individual, family, marital and group counseling for men, women and children. It employs licensed professional counselors and licensed marriage and family therapists. The Wellspring provides a domestic violence program that offers supportive services to adults and children in violent and abusive relationships. The organization provides shelter, legal services, educational and training workshops, and help with basic needs like food and clothing. Its housing and supportive service program offers transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence to help them move from homelessness to stable permanent housing.
