General Info

I have ten years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I also train master's and doctoral level student therapists at a local university to help clients confront any life challenges. Throughout my career, I have never met a truly "broken" person incapable of making positive changes in their lives. I firmly believe we are all doing the very best we can considering the circumstances. I rarely use diagnoses preferring instead to hear people’s stories and exploring their strengths and resources. As such, I work collaboratively with others to provide a more in-depth understanding of their unique issues and discover specific strategies and skills to resolve them. I’ve also seen how many couples and families feel “stuck” with one another over a variety of relationship issues. These impasses can be discouraging often causing more problems in our relationships. When working with couples and families, I provide a neutral, professional opinion and consult with everyone involved to resolve their issues as efficiently as possible. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, communication issues, self-esteem, parenting, and adolescent behavior issues. I am also an EMDR trained therapist for working with trauma of all types. If I am unable to help my clients, I provide referrals to other professionals in the area. I intentionally keep a small practice to provide dedicated and individualized attention to my clients. I offer flexibility of scheduling often seeing individuals, couples, and families on weekends and evenings. I don't accept insurance. My services are by appointment only and I answer and return phone calls from 9:00am to 9:00pm daily seven days a week.
