My wife and I are regulars at Vinny's. The service and food are very good. Some of the dishes are truly excellent. My wife and I are of Italian heritage, growing up, and living in New York City, an Italian food paradise. The Roanoke Valley and Smith Mountain Lake area have a sparse supply of Italian restaurants. Moreover, the vast majority of them are mediocre at best. Vinny's is the exception. Think of it this way, in a time where restaurants are closing in droves, Vinny's is expanding, just after two years of operation.

The food took forever to arrive at the table. When I did arrive it was bland to say the least. You can get better Italian food from Little Caesars. The server complained of being there all day and rarely came to the table. At one point I had to get up and find her to finally get what was needed at my table. Not worth the trip or the price.

Our family ate there last night. I had the baked Italian sausage with spaghetti. The sauce is so delicious! The portions are generous. The staff is very committed to making your dining experience pleasant. I highly recommend Michaels.

New in the area, but worth a visit. We heard about Michael's from fulltime residents, We gave it a try for lunch and we are looking forward to going back for dinner. I had Michael's Italian Sub and my husband had the Philly Cheese Steak. Both had plenty of meat and toppings. The roll was tasty and not too bready. Comes with fries or chips and we chose the fries. They were hot and crispy. The sub was maybe 8" and there was more than we could both eat. The owner introduced himself and was very friendly. Service was good, although the waitress was a little slow writing the order. When the waitress asked for input and I gave it, she listened intently. We do not care for the other Italian restaurants in the area, so I can't wait to go back for dinner. The owner says the sauce is homemade. Atmosphere - Open. At first we were the only ones there and you could hear every conversation. I noticed as more clients came in, it was not as revealing.

Very laid back atmosphere! Great food, Great service & great menu prices. Everything from pasta, sandwiches, soups & burgers to authentic flatbread pizzas. Fantastic!!!
