      Founded in 1971, Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgical Associates (CTVSA) is a group of surgeons and associated health care professionals who specialize in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery. The medical practice has performed more than 20,000 open-heart and over 8,000 peripheral vascular procedures and nearly 2,000 lung and chest wall operations. It performs a variety of operations for conditions involving the heart, lungs, esophagus and blood vessels. Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgical Associates heart operations include coronary artery bypass, mitral valve repair and replacement surgeries, aortic valve replacement and procedures for correction of atrial fibrillation. It also offers a range of diagnostic, interventional, preventive and rehabilitation treatment programs. Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgical Associates maintains locations in Mobile, Fairhope and Foley, Ala.
