- Dental ExaminationWhen you attend a consultation at our office, your doctor will perform a complete oral exam to determine whether or not gum contouring is a good option for you. You will discuss your cosmetic concerns as well as treatment goals. If you have any signs of gum disease or other oral health issues, such as decay, these will first need to be treated. Your doctor will also make sure that you have realistic expectations of your results, and that you understand the importance of following specific aftercare guidelines.
- X-raysWe invest in the latest dental technology, including panoramic x-rays and intraoral cameras. This allows us to better understand the state of your oral health, accurately diagnose problems, and effectively treat any health issues.
- Teeth CleaningPatients should be aware that, like natural teeth, composite resin is susceptible to staining. As such, you should try to avoid foods and beverages that can alter the shade of your smile. Tea, coffee, red wine, berries, and tobacco products are common culprits of such stains. Patients should also refrain from habits that could dislodge or compromise the bonding resin, such as chewing on ice or fingernails. Keeping up on your professional cleanings and exams is another important way to maintain your smile.
- FillingsTo address dental decay, we can place composite dental fillings designed to blend seamlessly with your smile. Your dentist can layer the tooth-colored composite resin before curing the filling material for long-lasting results. Composite resin provides a safe, natural-looking alternative to amalgam fillings.
- Resin CompositeDuring this cosmetic dental treatment, the doctor applies a composite resin to the teeth to improve their size, shape, and color. Our office will carefully customize the shade of the resin to match the enamel of your surrounding teeth so that the results blend in naturally. Dental bonding can address a wide range of cosmetic concerns, including...

- Tooth ExtractionsAlso known as a socket graft, this procedure is performed after a tooth extraction to maintain the space left by the tooth roots. While we can sometimes place an implant at the same time as extraction, this is not always the case. To protect the jaw after removing the tooth, we can pack the socket with bone grafting material. Over the next three to six months, the grafting material can fuse with living bone, allowing for more successful implant placement in the future.
- Bone GraftingWhile dental implants are the best way to restore a full arch of teeth, traditional implants often require preliminary bone grafting.
