      Established by Carl Graham Fisher, 610 WIOD is a radio station that serves the listeners in South Florida. The station broadcasts sports news on auto racing, soccer, baseball, football, golf and basketball events. It also airs various musical and consumer-related programs. Additionally, the station organizes various contests and concerts and provides live streaming of its programs on the Internet. The radio station is a Fox News affiliate and has consistently been a winner in the annual Florida Associated Press statewide competitions. Operational for more than 80 years, 610 WIOD is owned and operated by Clear Channel Communications, a publicly traded broadcasting and advertising company headquartered in San Antonio. The radio station maintains its office in Miramar, Fla.
