- CryotherapyAs a certified Physician Assistant, Larry is well-trained to diagnose and manage patients with a variety of skin conditions ranging in scope from acne to psoriasis to skin cancer, among many other dermatological concerns. In-office procedures include cryotherapy, acne cyst treatment, shave and punch biopsies, and removal of superficial skin cancers and benign lesions when appropriate. All Physician Assistants at Coastal Skin Surgery and Dermatology work closely with our dermatologists to provide the best in patient care and medical and surgical management.

- Emergency CareIt is possible that you may experience some drainage or bleeding after surgery. If you do experience any bleeding, apply firm constant uninterrupted pressure for 30 minutes, without peaking. If the bleeding continue to persist, then please contact our office or Dr.Adams directly or go to your nearest emergency room.
- Internal MedicineDr. Cather McKay is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She attended Vanderbilt University where she double majored in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Spanish. Following graduation, she spent time volunteering in a medical clinic in rural Guatemala. She went on to complete medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine (UAB), followed by an internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency at Tulane University.

- Mohs SurgeryDr. Adams completed a 1-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology in 1995. His fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center (Danville, PA) was one of the first in the nation to receive formal accreditation by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Adams mastered the methods and techniques of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, complex microscopic cancer interpretation, and advanced cosmetic reconstruction techniques under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Victor Marks, Dr. Michael Ramsey, and various academic plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, ENT surgeons, and dermatopathologists. Such intensive training has prepared Dr. Adams to expertly treat many different types of skin cancers and equally to recognize when Mohs Surgery is not the best option and to provide guidance in selecting alternate (even non-surgical) treatments.
- Reconstructive SurgeryDr. Carter specializes in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, with training in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery. He enjoys running, board games, and spending time outdoors with his wife and children, and is thrilled to join the Emerald Coast community.

- Plastic SurgeryDr. Rigano attended the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo after graduation from The Ohio State University. His surgical residency was at Wright State University. Affiliated Hospitals preceded his plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Ohio. In 1991, private practice in Dayton, Ohio allowed Dr. Rigano to improve his surgical skills in major reconstructive plastic surgery. In 2001, he started an elective private practice specializing in breast cancer reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. After 30 years of plastic surgery experience, he now brings this skill set to the Florida Panhandle and Coastal Skin Surgery and Dermatology. Dr. Rigano has taught medical students, residents, and other physicians for 30 years. He recently retired from solo, private practice and now has committed to help Dr. Adams, Dr. Papajohn and their team serve this community.

While at FSU, Darla was a student trainer for the women’s basketball team, as well as, a trainer for the football team. That women’s team was invited to the NCAA tournament and the football team won an ACC title, receiving an invitation to play in the Orange Bowl. Darla went on to further her studies receiving a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at South Alabama University. Post academia, Darla had the opportunity to provide education and skin cancer screenings for members of the LPGA.
