We hired Ms. Murphy to represent us to help us get grandparent visitation rights with our grandchild. She initially quoted us a price of $2500 that she more or less guaranteed would at least get us to court if not cover the entire process. She also told us we would know our court date within a few weeks. This was at the end of November. Immediately, things began to sour. She began not responding to emails. Her emails told different stories as to why she was late in processing our paperwork. Eventually, she ran out our retainer plus an additional $900. We never even got to court, and she just stopped communicating with us. She squandered our money, broke our hearts and ruined our dreams of being able to see our grandchild again.
