Picked my dog up at a Kennel to find he lost 5 of his 17 pounds. He was skin and bone. I took him to Cedarburg Vets. They kept him over night after xrays. They advised me to go to the Animal Emergency Center for an ultrsound. After following advise, I was asked to leave him overnight for a biopsy the next morning. I did. Meanwhile, other serious crisis took place preventing me from picking my dog up after extensive testing, where they found nothing wrong with my dog. The seriousness of my troubles at home and sudden medical issues caused huge trouble for me to get my beloved dog. My daughter called the AEC for me, since I was hospitalized. She was told she wasn't allowed to speak for me or to pick up my dog and that I was the only one. The next thing I knew, my dog had been taken away and given to a new owner. I was told I abandoned my dog. Nothing is further from the truth. Now he's gone. I have no idea where "They" put him. It seems nothing could stop this unreasonable solution.

I had a very harsh reality when my baby Tetaday was bitten by a poisionous spider and had to be taken to the ER. This place is wonderful, they rushed him right back & started work. The staff was very compassionate, caring & sincere and quick! The price is always upfront, with no unneeded procedures. The cost is high, but thier cost is well worth the care and technology this hospital has. They offer a line of credit for pet care which can be used to pay for services, an insurance program (VPI PET), credit card, check or cash is accepted.You can call or visit as often as you want if your pet has to stay. I have a family of 5 chihuahua's and thankfully I have only needed them 3 times since we started our extended family of chihuahua's, each time I am treated with respect and compassion from every staff member. They understand the love a parent has for their animal and treat each pet as their own. I have ensured that other family members with pets I know learn about this Animal ER Clinic.

After taking my limp-y cat to two vets (The Cat Doctor and St. Paul Vet Clinic), I was told she had a sore knee. No blood tests. No investigation. As a last resort, I took her to the Animal Emergency Center. They were brilliant. Thorough, kind and absolutely dedicated to finding out what was wrong. My cat actually had cancer. Had I not taken her to AEC, I probably wouldn't have known for weeks or months. I really can't express how impressed I was with their care. They kept me informed every step of the way (without prompting!), always told me the financial impact of what they were doing, and treated my pet and me with care and respect.AEC is expensive, but worth every penny. Trust me.
