In order to cancel my contract with EMG, they want to charge $495, even though the lifetime value of the remaining contract is worth less than $432.



They also limit me to cancel the contract to a small window of time from no more than 90 days, and no less than 30 days from the tie the contract anniversary date. Although, the company never sends any sort of notification or notice as to when that date is, knowing full and well that the last thing any customer is going to do is keep track of is when their merchant service account contract is set to renew. This may be legal to do, but is absolutely shady business. What happened to taking care of your customers rather than taking advantage of them? I have been a customer for over 1,480 days and because I missed a deadline by about 30 days they want to hold me hostage due to contract language that was signed and agreed upon in the service agreement. The problem is that the contract item that talks about opting out of the contract (terms and conditions), was never given to me by my rep at the time I signed the agreement, and only later was it sent to me.



As I said before, the terms may be legal, but this is absolutely shady and deceitful business. I will NEVER do business with this company again, and recommend that everyone else avoids this firm. They take advantage of you. Find a firm that cares more about taking care of a customer than they do about getting every possible penny out of a company that is teetering on going out of business.
