      About Joseph's ideal is to create a center where massage techniques can be experienced, taught, and evaluated in the light of clinical evidence. Joseph's aim is for massage therapy to be accepted and respected by the medical community. Massages are guaranteed to be healing, therapeutic and beneficial for your total well being. He believes that no matter how beautiful he makes the center, it is the people who work there that draw the clientele. Joseph has hand selected, personally experienced and evaluated each of our therapists. Our staff comes from the heart. Come to F. Joseph Smith's Therapy Center and explore the healing of a therapeutic outdoor hot tub under the redwoods, a Cedar or Infrared sauna, or massage in a quaint, rustic setting in Mill Valley. We offer all styles of massage and our massage therapists come from the heart. Located only six minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, it borders miles of walking trails and bike paths that cross Mill Valley and the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais. Our center is a perfect departure point for Northern Californian adventurers, or the ideal destination after an active day. Massage therapists proficient in all the modes and techniques of massage and bodywork are on staff. Therapists are trained in techniques that help with chronic or acute health problems. The Center has been offering Scientific Swedish Massage techniques since 1981 and has grown to include various types of massage, advanced body therapies such as Lymphatic Massage, Acupressure/Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Sports Therapy, and Myofascial Therapy. Joseph Smith, who founded the F. Joseph Smith Massage Therapy Center, has an extensive background in advanced bodywork therapy. He began his studies in 1974. Joseph is a massage teacher, and has developed his own form of advanced bodywork he calls Smithing. We are always looking for great massage therapists. We feel the same way about the quality of our services. If you are not satisfied with your massage within the first 5 minutes, kindly ask your therapist to adjust to your liking. If this doesn't improve your experience, inform your therapist that you would like to stop and we will assign another therapist to you and give you the full massage at no additional cost. Much like the glass of wine scenario, if you don't communicate your dissatisfaction, we won't be able to compensate you or improve our abilities and services. We are here to help you heal your body and mind and we are committed to your satisfaction.
