      The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of activities, including yoga, swimming and aerobics. Operational for more than 150 years, it provides educational support to various children. The organization operates fitness centers that conduct cycling, dance, karate and pilates classes. The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit also offers customized workout training by certified trainers. The organization designs and organizes camping, hiking, boating and horse riding activities. It participates in fundraising and child care programs. Additionally, it has a staff of more than 1,500 trained and certified professionals that specializes in team-based management and innovation services. The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit maintains a presence in Milford, Mich.
