Lisa Kerin, SW is a disgrace to the profession. If less than 1 star was an option I would select it. Please do yourself and your children a favor and stay away from this so called counselor. She is the most inappropriate counselor I have ever encountered. It's amazing that she has stayed in practice for the years she has. She lacks professionalism, and as the previous review stated, uses the excuse of being a "straight shooter" to use verbal attacks and outlandish comments to get her point across. She is incapable of separating her personal feelings and experiences in order to do her job effectively. She did absolutely nothing to help me improve co-parenting with my ex-husband. She is incapable of being unbiased and neutral as a true professional should be. Make sure you document every session and note her inappropriate outbursts. It's no wonder she has a clause in her contract of "no recording" that was my red flag.

My experience with Lisa Kerin, LCSW, was incredible. Lisa's help was beneficial in my relationship with my ex husband. With her assistance, we were able to find a "middle ground" as she puts it, which completely shifted our coparenting techniques. To oppose the opinions of the reviewers below, Lisa provided me with honest, straight forward opinions that at the time seemed too direct but in hindsight were necessary for me to grow and experience the transcendence that she showed me was possible. I believe that Lisa saved my relationship with my son (and ex husband for that matter) and I highly recommend her business.

Lisa Kerin has no business being a counselor. She is totally out of control of her emotions and is prone to verbal abuse. In your first meeting with her, she will try to explain that she personally has a "no sugar coating" approach to communications. This is her attempt at an excuse for her unprofessional and wildly inappropriate outbursts. On top of being loudly abusive, she was totally ineffective. She was a failure as a mediator and did absolutely nothing to help the communication problems I have with my ex-wife. On top of all her abusive loud temper tantrum outbursts, she will (for pay) come to your family court hearing under the employ of your ex and attempt to threaten you with fabricated testimony about your own abusiveness. You might think I'm making this up but please be assured that she did this to me and she'll do it to you. If your co-parent pays her, she will come to family court and threaten you with defamation.She can do this because she does not have a nondisclosure contract when you become her client. This is your responsibility as the client of a mediator. Please learn from my mistake, protect yourself from mediators, and never under any circumstances allow Lisa Kerin into your life. A total failure in every possible way. Don't waste your time or money. Stay far away. She did way more damage than good.
