I never leave ratings for rest...

I never leave ratings for restaurants, but I have to after leaving this place. After a 30 minute wait, our appetizer was delivered by someone else on the waitstaff. We didn't really mind that as it usually happens in restaurants. However, our calamari, had been sitting for a while and was overcooked (aka: over fried and the squid was really dry on the inside). We should have said something, but our waitress didn't come back to check on us. It seemed like a long time had passed while waiting for our dinner. Tables that had been empty when we arrived had already been served their appetizers and dinners! Our original drinks by this time had turned into both a watery mix and ice water. Our waitress was no where to been seen. When we looked at our phone, we realized that we had been patiently waiting for over an hour! At this point, we left our table and went up to the host and asked him for our check. He then told us that we had to wait for the manager. When the manager arrived (it took awhile), we tried to explain what had happened. She cut us off and told us that our dining experience was not her fault. I know that it wasn't her fault directly, but the fact that she didn't seem to want to listen and was in a hurry to get us out of the restaurant just made it worse. After brushing us off she told us that our lousy appetizer and our watery drinks were on the house. Prior to our visit, I had heard such great things about this place, but after my own personal experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I will never come back here. Not by myself and certainly not with anyone else. Why should anyone patronize a restaurant that doesn't care about its patrons?

Dear ARV1223: First, I would like to personally apologize for the experience of your visit. Our guests are first and foremost the most important entity of our establishment. In being one of the few establishments to be able to provide such an impressive beer offering, I should hope that everyone's visit with us is exceeded in expectation for quality of service and product. However, it seems your experience fell below our normal standards. If you would please give us a call, the details of your visit have been addressed, from staff to calamari. I'd like to personally arrange a reservation for you, to extend the care and passion we take pride in, as Richmond's finest and most extensive beer bars.
