Avant- Garde Salon and spa was created by Renan Garcia and Jorge Alfonso. This incredibly talented duo became very successful in Coral Gables. Arturo De Vera became the third partner when Renan introduced his talent to Univision network and soon became the beauty expert for Sabado Gigante. Since, Avant-Garde has remained Univision's main team of beauty experts, responsible for shows like "Nuestra Belleza", "Mira Quien Baila" , "Premio Lo Nuestro", etc. For over 10 years Renan has a beauty segment that airs weekly in the network. News anchors and reporters such as Laurie Jennings, Shannon Hori, Alina Mayo, Lynn Martinez, Reed Cowan and many others depend on Avant-Garde for their beauty needs. In 2010, the trio has transferred the ownership to Christine & Thierry Painparay, a French couple who had a high end spa in Cannes on the French Riviera. With they new energy and focus on details, the salon has been totally renovated on January 2012 to offer more comfort to the guest. Since then, Renan, Jorge and Arturo remain a significant part of the salon, collaborating with the new owners in the beginning of AG new era.
