      Founded in 1982 and based in Merritt Island, Fla., Space Coast Orthopaedic Center offers a wide range of orthopedic care and services to patients across the Brevard County. The facility features an on-site JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) accredited surgery center as well as a physical therapy center. The hospital specializes in treating workers' compensation cases and has experience in work-related injuries. Its workers' compensation program offers several services including prompt physician attention for all occupational injuries, Independent Medical Exams (I.M.E.s), diagnostic testing, case management for surgical and non surgical treatment, disability and return-to-work evaluations, and physical therapy monitoring. In addition, Space Coast Orthopaedic Center participates with several health insurance plans for its medical insured patients.
