I have been having my taxes done by Stephen Boccio for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. He is an excellent accountant, very professional, knowledgeable, funny, personable, intelligent, and just super awesome. His staff is very professional and friendly too. I never wait very long for my appointment and have never had any issues with filing my taxes in almost 20 years.

We were referred to Steve as new clients to complete three individual tax returns. He lacks any type of customer service. He immediately began by speaking down to us after we waited because he had to throw out trash and provide someone with his grocery list. The minute I asked a question he responded with I have been doing this for 35 years and to not speak to his subordinates. He also added "whose office is this" its mine. Being it was the first time we were meeting him you would think he would of told us a little bit about how he operates instead of just yelling at us. I got so upset that I asked him if I did something wrong (I was visibly getting upset) and as he continued to be condescending and having a raised harsh tone he then decided he didn't want to do our returns and told us to leave. I have never experienced anything like this from someone that I was compensating for services. Trust me go somewhere else...he isnt the only intelligent accountant in Long Island! If could report him to someone I would because he clearly has a misplaced moral compass treating people the way he does.

Very good as an accountant. Very bad as a person. We moved and didn't get a bill forwarded. At our appointment this year we brought up not paying for last year, not sure if they realized it. We assumed a bill for last and this year would be sent. Steve thought it was professional to call my home twice asking for a call back to "confirm the routing number." When my wife called he spoke to her in a way that upset her to the point of tears and asked her if we thought it was acceptable to sit in his office to have our taxes done without paying. The routing number was not an issue. I went to the office to pay last years bill because he stated that he would not efile this years taxes. Steve did not come out of his office to speak with me. This experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I have never been treated like this by a professional. We have been doing our taxes with Steve for 7 years and this is how a loyal customer is treated. He will not make 415.00 on us next year.

I remember being late for my appt., and they managed to fit me in their busy schedule. They work very quickly too; I was referred to them by my mentor years ago. I'll be moving out of state, and now I have to find someone else to prepare my taxes.
