Jefferson West USD 340, located in Meriden, Kan., operates an elementary school, intermediate school, middle school and high school. The schools offer educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through 12. The schools offer various subjects, such as English, American history, computer science, mathematics, social studies, science, Spanish, sociology, geography, animal science, music, art, and health and physical education. The schools also offer a number of sports activities, including baseball, softball, football, soccer, cross country, track and volleyball. The school district also operates an art gallery and museum that features exhibits of various artists.
