Provided by YPmobileThe reviews speak for themselves. The "new" management is only respectful for those who have not signed the year lease. After you sign that lease you are on your own. When I was looking into the apartament I moved into I mentioned the reviews I have seen but I was assure that was the old management and it does not apply to them. I was assured the smelly stained carpets in the hallways are being replaced but I have not yet seen any work. I was assured by the management that the parking is not assigned and my guests and I can park as we wish but that all changed after I moved in. Now I have to show my registration for a sticker. The amount of noise coming from the upstairs apartaments into my flat is unbearable. I have not slept properly since I moved in. I really can't say anything good about Merrit station besides that my renovated apartament pleases the eye. If it's cosmetics you are looking for and you are death this is the place for you but you can escape the terrible managers. Good luck!

Provided by YPmobileOffice Staff very, very unprofessional and rude, the only thing they care about is your money. when someone move out, somebody else moves right back in.they charge more than a car payment if you have a dog or cat, for a small dog they charge $400 nonrefundable fee and $200 for a cat. which I'm sure that don't damage anything, your basically paying that fee for the maintenance crew to ride up and down the street burning unnecessary gas, and the office staff to lavish nice things on your dollars. When they can really be in some of these buildings doing something with these filthy carpets that look like they been here for over 30 /40 yrs.it is bug infested, people still your mail.you have non driving tenants hitting cars. they give you one day notice for an inspection, there is a mold problem in most of the buildings due to cheap sheet rock,I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to a homeless person.the corporate office stays here doing inspections. bottom line, look else where, if i keep thinking I will have two pages, just save yourself aggravation and problems look elsewhere. Note all the good reviews that you see up here, I'm sure it's coming straight from the office. This place is not what it seems, they just want your money and that's it..

Provided by YP.comI guarantee, you will regret moving here. If you have pets DO NOT move in. They don't use pet safe ice melt, and they spray the grass with pesticides. The maintenance crew, who has keys to your apartment, is a bunch of criminal, drug addicts. The management is rude and doesn't help with anything around the apartments. All they care about is getting paid, and suckering people into moving in. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING THROUGH THE WALLS. The place is just trash. This is definitely the WORST place I have ever lived. DONT DO IT

Provided by YP.comNice place with decent upgrades.
I have lived at Merritt Station for about a year and WILL renew my lease. Sometimes maintenance is slow to respond but overall for the price it is a good deal.
I pay around $900 for a 1 bedroom and I pay my own electric and cable bill.
I have read the other reviews and can honestly say I have not experienced anything like the things I've read. It's a good place and I'm gonna STAY.

Provided by YP.comI thought I was making a good investment into the well being of my future when I signed the lease to my newly renovated apartment in Merritt Station; I was very wrong.
I won't go into detail into the exact details of every issue I've had because I don't want readers to interpret my problems as isolated and the exact nature of the problems are unimportant.
It is important that potential residents can receive insight into the lack of professionalism and responsiveness on behalf of the management staff from a first hand experience. From what I am reading, it appears that I am not the only one that feels this way.
Here is a small list with brief details of issues I've had and how management has responded.
1. Mold in an old air conditioner (in a "Renovated Apartments") - Maintenance poorly clean the panel, twice, it wasn't until I alerted them of allergies that they replaced the unit.
2. Electric bill being charged before move in date - Lack of cooperation and understanding on behalf of the management, ended up paying 600 dollars in electric because they activated the electric before I moved in (had to sign lease by certain date)
3. Request for Manual for Stove - Still waiting, has been a year since my first request and two weeks since my most recent request
4. Request for Paint to retouch poor paint job - First request 9 months ago, received
Poor management is one thing, because you get what you pay for, but residents of a "newly renovated" Merritt Station owned apartment can end up paying 2000$ a month! Everything is electric, the renovations are superficial (such as fake and flimsy wood counter-tops which you pay for to cover their costs), the paint job is just insulting and the washer and dryer are very old and the room is filthy. Currently I am paying a total of 1000$, due to a recent increase, for a single bedroom townhouse (split with a spouse); for that cost I could rent a 3 room apartment in Meriden from a landlord who would be more likely to accommodate reasonable request, be more cooperative of extenuating circumstances because they aren’t protected by an armada of agents ready to defend a flawed policy.
The rigid corporate structure of Merritt Station policy rules should also be a concern to possible future residents. Any disputes that may arise between you and the management will result in the management being uncooperative or understanding. You are simply a bank account that they withdraw from and they do not need to accommodate any requests (besides those required by law).
I hope I have conveyed how bad of an idea it is to sign a lease with this company for this location with these staff members at the current monthly rate. I was tied in because of a promotion they were running at the time and I wish I had investigated a little more before I rushed into a contract. I can not emphasize enough the disappointment you are guaranteed to experience with this living arrangement. I urge anyone considering this location to look else where; contribute to your local landlords (you have more leverage that way too), find a bigger place for a better price, whatever you do, do not waste your time and money here.
Thank you,

Provided by YP.comThe staff is very unorganized, and seems as if the lady in there try to scam people out of there money.

Provided by YPmobileSince I moved in its been nothing but a headache! Plumbing problems, washer/dryer problems, and there's ROACHES!!! I am a very clean and neat person, and no matter what I see roaches! The rent is so expensive and yes there's pool (that provides to every teenager is Meriden) but no way should anyone pay $1000 a month for a 2 bed and have to live with roaches! The garages are always overflowing with trash! And there's dog poop EVERYWHERE!! SO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!

Provided by YP.comI love my apartment, but the management is horrible; a combination of rude and derogatory comments in addition to completely incompetent employees. I would advise staying away because they will find some way or another to screw you over.
