I would not recommend having your vehicle service at this pep boys! I went in for an oil change and a tire rotation. A Pep boys tech inspected my vehicle and recommended some other repairs which I declined so the tech proceed with my scheduled oil change an tire rotation . After this work was completed by Pep boys, I drove to my first stop of the day and went into this location for about 2 hours.When I came back to my cars and started it , my low tire pressure light was on for my tires. I drove back to Pep boys and they refilled my tires. I then proceed home and park the car in the garage . The next morning to my surprise my two front tires were flat. I filled the tires with my portable air compressor and to my amazement I could here air escaping from the tires Schrieder valve , it's seems some had loose both front tires air valves just enough to cause a slow leak. I then tight the valves using a special tool I purchase at another auto parts store recommended to me to fix this issue. This is a tool that is in most mechanics tool boxes that do tire work. Frustrated I call the Pep boys that did my oil change and tire rotation and explain to them what I found and how lucky I was not to be stranded some where else with only one spare tire ! They told they would speak with the tech and review their security tapes on my car. They call me back and said they could not see any issue clearly on the film. I ask to review the film and they complied today , even with a full 2 minutes of missing footage you can clearly see the tech do some thing by my tire valve and the place this tool back in his tool box on film. I was told there would be an internal investigation here and a review with the tech by pep boys. I told the store manager I want make sure my experience at this Pep boys never happen to anyone else, thus the reasoning for warning and review here . I do not wish to see anyone else be stranded with two flat tires due to this issue. I had no issue with my tires before I brought my car into Pep boys and no further issue since I tighten the loose valves on my tires. Again, beware of this location for service.

I dropped my car of for an AC flush and recharge.

When I received the car no cold air came out and my AC lights were off.

So I brought it back upset saying that the lights were out and NO COLD AIR was coming out. So they tell me I have to run an electrical diagnostic test.



Begrudgingly I leave my car there for this test that took ALL DAY to do. It was my day off, this was an unexpected expense and nuisance. On top of all that I had to run tons of errands. So at the end of the day I go to pick up my car.



They say that I need a new"blah blah blah." I explain that I'm going to call my dealer and see if my car is still under warranty because if I can get it done for free then that's the route I'm taking. They understood. he manager says that he's going to put my car back together and I can be on my way. "Great, because I have an appointment to get to at 5:30."



SO I go to my appointment with my windows down think my AC doesn't work. On the way back home from my appointment I decided to play with the buttons. WOAH! Everything is back to normal! That's highly suspect. I DO NOT want to pay for that electrical diagnostic test that was unnecessary.



So I call them. Rick on the phone tells me to come and talk to his manager tomorrow because he's gone for the day.



I went in today (being tomorrow) and just spent TOO MUCH of my valuable time arguing with the manager who is basically calling me a liar!



It's my word against his, but seriously? what benefit did I get by:

1. Not having a car all day

2. Inconveniencing my family who had to tote my daughter and I around

3. Having to go to Pep Boys and deal with the unbending, non-customer service

oriented manager.

4. Getting frustrated and repeated myself over and over again.

6. Oh, and wasting my $50 on an unnecessary test.



AND AT THE END, the manager had the nerve to say "I'm sorry."



Really? I replied back " No, you're not!" I'm sure he was glad to get rid of me for the day but I still want my $48.92. Seems like a small price to pay for customer satisfaction on Pep Boys end yet the manager doesn't see that. Instead I'll give a negative review on Yelp, dispute the charges on my Credit card and if it isn't resolved I'll have to write a letter to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).



Which, btw, I looked up to see their listing and rating and through a basic search they are NOT listed. Other Pep Boys are, but not this Melrose Park location.
