- Primary CareAt PT Professionals, all full-time therapists have advanced training with educational requirements higher than any of our competitors. Our staff of highly trained and specialized physical therapists provides a positive impact on our community and also to the health care system. We are in close communication with primary care physicians and we routinely screen patients for health issues, not just for the injury that prompted the referral to our office.
- Emergency CareIn many cases, we have assisted in preventing emergency room visits and, perhaps, prevented extended hospitalizations by detecting non-musculoskeletal involvement at the initial evaluation. We are qualified to identify signs of failing health and we promote overall wellness. It takes a staff of highly qualified individuals as well as appropriate time in order for therapists to screen patients in this manner, and PT Professionals provides both of this to all of our patients.
- ImmunizationsDisclosure To Other Healthcare Professionals: We may disclose and/or share protected health information (PHI) including electronic disclosure with other health care professionals who provide treatment and/or service to you. Health information about you may also be disclosed to your family, friends, and/or other persons only if you choose to involve them in your care. As of March 26, 2013 immunization records for students may be released without an authorization (as long as the PHI disclosed is limited to proof of immunization). If an individual is deceased we may disclose PHI to a family member or individual involved in care or payment prior to death. Psychotherapy notes will not be used or disclosed without your written authorization. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) prohibits health plans from using or disclosing genetic information for underwriting purposes. - MRIThe staff at PT Professionals are friendly, personable and most of all, highly SKILLED. My therapist, Nancy, new after my initial assessment that I had had an older injury that was contributing to my difficulties. I was referred to PT Professionals to see if PT would lessen the increasingly severe headaches I had been suffered for the past 5 months. An MRI showed severe spinal stenosis and a bulging disc in the cervical spine that was thought to be the cause of the headaches. Nancy realized my shoulder muscles were very weak and contributing to the pain. She helped me strengthen the shoulder and upper back muscles and provided exercises that also helped with my posture. This will be an ongoing process for me with home exercises (even a one pound weight was a challenge when we started working) but the headaches have reduced by almost 90%. Although my “scores” may not reflect my progress, to me, this is a Win-Win. Stronger shoulders, better posture, an understanding of what I have to do to keep improving, and almost no headaches.

- Skin CancerDuring one of my few treatments, Daryl noticed an irregular shaped spot on my lower back. He asked if I ever had it looked at by a doctor. My response was, NO, who looks at their lower back in the mirror? Daryl replied, You may need to have this checked. Well, to make a long story short that so-called spot was diagnosed as malignant melanoma. Cancer!!!
