      Dr. Heaney brings a lifetime of dedication and experience in the field of Plastic Surgery. His experience as a researcher, publisher, lecturer, and academic instructor compliment his warm, friendly personality to provide a thoughtful and experienced approach to his field. American trained and graduated with high honors from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, he attended SUNY Syracuse Medical School with an academic scholarship, one of only forty awarded by the state of New York. He completed a full General Surgery Residency, including becoming Chief Resident, at the Guthrie Medical Center of Pennsylvania. He then completed fellowship training in Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Heaney has been in private practice in Northwest Pennsylvania for over twenty years. He has the knowledge of plastic surgical procedures and aesthetics that can only come with experience. Dr. Heaney is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member in good standing with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Heaney puts his full effort into every patient to make sure all questions, risks, and benefits are explained fully and in terms that are easy for everyone to understand. He understands that each patient is unique, and will require a unique approach to their specific cosmetic concern. There is never a charge to discuss a cosmetic procedure, no matter how many visits you require before making your decision. He is backed by a caring, thoughtful staff who are pleased to do whatever they can to make your plastic surgery experience proceed as pleasantly as possible.
