I have used this business for over 40 years! My late father introduced me to the owner's late father when he had a transmission repaired. The son is every bit as good as his Dad - maybe better ! I am now 60 and I have had 5 or 6 vehicle trannies serviced and repaired there over the years. STANS TRANSMISSION is the best ! The owner does a 'road test' if required and gives you the 'straight story' from his knowledge and years of experience. He road tested an older used JEEP I was thinking of buying and told me "DON'T ". He did a total rebuild on a Chrysler trans. that a shop in PGH. wanted over twice as much to do. They always do the repair that NEEDS to be done at a fair price and keep you informed. They do NOT "invent things" and pad estimates or bills. Their QUALITY work stands up. I've put thousands of miles and years on cars, trucks, & SUVs after their repairs. I will drive over an HR to get to STAN'S before I go elsewhere. The BEST ! Dave S.- Donegal, PA

Just a note to the first poster claiming they were sold a used trans. I have 20 years in the business and HATE idiots like you . A fair number of trans. shops keep units they have already rebuilt on hand to expedite turn around time . You left a negative review without giving any specifics or even what your issue with them was . People like you ruin the credibility of review sites.

Check your tranny before you use him - says he rebuilds them but puts old used ones in instead, but charges for a rebuild. just make a little mark on your tranny before you go, I bet it will not be there when you pick it up.

I had tranny rebuilt there back in 01', on a 89 Olds 88 Royal. 2 years ago I finally sold the car, and the tranny still worked great with over 100,000 miles on it after the rebuild.It was the only experience I had with them, but I couldn't have asked for better service.
