I am very impressed with this daycare. The staff at Luella Academy are wonderful. My son is learning so much in his classsroom. His lead teacher Courtne Vandiver is wonderful. The other teachers are great as well.

My sons Jamell (3) and Berdell (1) have been attending Luella Academy since August 2012. Luella had everything I was looking for in a daycare/school for my boys. The hours are great, close to my job, every class has a curriculum even for the babies (which is a plus in my book) and they give a report everyday of what your child learned and what they ate. When I took a tour of the facility I knew Luella is where my boys needed to be. The director Ms. Jennifer, Assistant Managers Ms. April, Ms. Evony and the staff are awesome and I love how they know every child's name and they know every parent and grandparent that comes through there doors. Before my 3 year old started at Luella he couldn't say his name but now he knows his name, colors, numbers, and other kids names. He has advanced so much in the short time he has been there and he talks about the teachers so much and they love him. My youngest son just turned 1 years old and he is doing wonderful. They tell me everyday how much he improves on everything. I would high recommend them to another parent.

I've heard negative reviews about Luella Academy but do not feel the same! The center went under new ownership towards the end of last year and has been absolutely wonderful since. I love my child's teacher and so does my child. He always is so excited about going to his class and is upset if I come pick him up early. I wouldn't change centers if my life depended on it! I am so thankful and blessed to have such thoughtful, caring teachers and staff for my son to be surrounded with every day.

I love Luella academy.....and so do my kids. We've only been there about 4 months but we couldn't be any happier. The staff is so friendly and on top of things, they go out of their way to make sure i am informed about all of my childrens daily activities. The after school program is amazing, they get time with all of their specialized teachers in each learning domain. My child can't wait until Summer, they have so many fun things planned for their Summer Camp planned! The facility is well ran, if we ever need anything we know Thad, Aprille, or Jennifer will be there to assist us!

My 2 children have been at luella academy for 2 months and I can't believe how wonderful this place is. My children cry when I pick them up because they are having so much fun and are learning so much. They love their teachers and it makes it SO much easier working full-time knowing they are with people who really care. They recently had a new owner take over and I think he is the reason this place is so great. You can tell he really cares about making sure the kids are the number one priority. He has 2 small children there as well so it shows that he puts his money where is mouth is.

When you see a cheap price wonder why it is. My daughter came home from school one day and told me "the teacher hurt me" and showed me her arm. She had fingernail impressions and scratches. Those half moon fingernail marks were on her arm for 4 days! That does not happen in an accident. That lady dug her nails into my baby. Upon viewing the tapes I noticed other incidents such as a teacher sitting in an open doorway and continuously pushing my daughter out of the way instead of simply closing the door. No, she had to push her like children would do to each other. Close the doors!!! I watched two days of tapes and the teachers barely interact with the kids much less teach them anything. After I spoke with my daughter about her arm I began to ask her questions and she told me two of the teachers there were pinching her as punishment. This is a horrible center and after my kids had been to the new one for one month I realized just how much they were NOT learning at Luella Academy.
