DO NOT BOOK WITH DEJAH. Point. Blank. Period. This woman has no respect for her clients' time or money. If you're a grown woman who values her time and money, go elsewhere. Let the young and ratchet deal with such foolishness. This stylist has canceled on me three times. The last straw was yesterday when I was sitting in the shop waiting on her to show up (she was late) and she texted me to tell me she couldn't do my hair (box braids) because it was going to take too long and she didn't have time to "squeeze me in." Huh? Squeeze me in? For an appointment I scheduled a month ago?!? Meanwhile, another woman walks in and says she has an appointment with Dejah at the same time as mine. This woman canceled my appointment -- without telling me -- and scheduled other people in my place! Where they do that at?!?! So unprofessional. Why offer a service on your website and then tell people you "don't have time"? I now know that every other time she canceled me and the tired excuses she was giving me were all lies. She was just simply not in the mood to do that particular hair style that day. She needs to take box braids and any other time consuming hair style she's not interested in doing OFF her service list. To have a client book and re-book three times is absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful. Shout out to the owner who apologized profusely and tried getting another one of her stylists in to cover my appointment. Although I truly appreciated that, I had to decline. The damage was already done. I have zero tolerance for people who don't respect my time. And I have never met a hairstylist that conducts business in such a way. Professionalism goes a long way in my book. While I cannot speak for the other stylists in this establishment (again, the owner was great), I can speak for Dejah. Take your service and your money elsewhere. She ain't worth the time nor the energy.
