We are a full-service law firm with over 193 years of combined experience in providing individuals, small businesses and large corporations with a wide range of legal services. We maintain a modern, computerized and well-staffed office where personal attention is available promptly. The original firm was established in 1964 by three attorneys--a trial attorney, a business attorney and a commercial real estate attorney. Today, the firm of Barkan & Robon Ltd has tripled in size, while still retaining the efficiency and close client contact of a small firm. Our areas of practice include real estate, civil litigation including personal injury, business law, tax law and probate law. In the litigation department, our firm has prevailed and won cases that other law firms felt were impossible to win. Our firm has handled almost a dozen precedent-setting cases that have been decided by appellate courts at both the state and federal levels. Our attorneys are licensed to practice in state and federal courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court, the 6th and 7th circuit Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. In our business tax department one of our attorneys is a Certified public Accountant and another is an inactive CPA. Recently a multi-million dollar sale of a business was being hindered by the bank that held a percentage of the stock as trustee. The bank did not believe that it had the authority to sell the stock. A large firm that originally represented the client was stymied. Our business department devised a solution to give the bank trustee a comfort level and the sale that was consummated to everybody's complete satisfaction.
