Dr. Crystal Menken become a psychologist because she has always found the study of human behavior to be fascinating. Through training, she has increased her understanding of human behavior and mental illness. This has allowed her to help others better understand themselves and improve their quality of life, which she finds very rewarding. Every day, her job is different, and this variety keeps her learning and growing. Dr. Menken is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in work with children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Menken uses play, art, and talk therapy in her clinical work. She has been practicing in North Iowa since 2005 and currently sees patients of the MercyOne Family Medicine Residency and also functions as a behavioral science coordinator for the Residency Program.
