It also supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) and McGruff Programs. In addition, The Marshall Police Department provides safety tips for the residents in issues related to child and bike safety. It has an animal impound where the animals collected as strays are registered. The department operates a Minnesota gang strike force which is a multi-jurisdictional agency that investigates gang crimes in Minnesota.
