Marion City Hall is governed by The City of Marion in Iowa. It includes building inspection, engineering, fire and public library departments. The hall also features parks and recreation, planning and development, police, public services and water departments. It has a finance and city clerk department that processes and pays bills and invoices, as well as issues permits and licenses for liquors, cigarettes, ambulances and solicitors. Marion City Hall has a public works department that operates street maintenance, traffic, sewer maintenance and solid waste divisions. Its engineering department is responsible for the administration and inspection of new and reconstructed driveways, sidewalks and sanitary sewer service extensions.
