Founded in 1920s, Monroe Engineering has been supplying sand-handling equipment and repair parts to the railroad industry since inception. Based in Marion, Iowa, its product basket consists of nozzles, sand hose, swivel valves, shut-off valves, switches and structures. In addition, the firm offers replacement parts, including weatherproof sand nozzles, sand hose, hose adapters, hose clamps, shut-off valves and sand delivery spouts. Besides offering sand-handling towers in 5-ton increments from 10- to 35-ton capacities, Monroe Engineering fabricates and designs custom railroad sand tower systems to meet customer s specifications, safety and facility layout requirements.
