The company is involved in the concept of new castings and has high-volume capabilities of finishes and coatings, fasteners and form in-place gaskets. Through its parent company, Product Technologies distributes its products worldwide. Founded in 1985, it became part of the Leggett & Platt family of manufacturing companies in September 2000. Leggett & Platt, a designer and manufacturer of a variety of engineered components and products, is based in Carthage, Mo. Its history dates back to 1883. Leggett & Platt is publicly traded and employs more than 30,000 workers at facilities throughout the world. Product Technologies is located in Maple Lake, Minn.
